Express the rational number \(0.4 \bar 5\) in the form p/q where p and q are natural number.

Let x = \(0.4 \bar 5 \)
or x = 0.4555 ......(i)
Multiply both sides by 10, we get
10x = 4.555 ......(ii)
Multiply equation (ii) by 10
100x = 45.555 .......(iii)
equation (iii) - (ii) subtract
100x - 10x = 45.555 = 4.555.....
90x = 41
x = \(\frac{41}{90} \)
