I steal by lawns and grassy plots,
I slide by hazel covers
I move the sweet forget-me-nots
That grow for happy lovers.
Paraphrase: The brook flows silently through lawns and grassy plots. It slides through the bushes of hazelnuts. In its flow the brook sweeps away ‘forget-me-not’ flowers which grow for the happy lovers.
