There should be equitable distribution of resources so that every living organism gets benefits of these resources. In case of unequitable distribution of resources, people living close to the source receive more benefits than those living further.
Besides natural and topographical features, it is the lack of willingness on the part of the rich in command which work against an equitable distribution of our resources.
