How can you as an individual contribute or make a difference to the management of
(a) forests and wildlife,
(b) water resources and
(c) coal and petroleum?
(a) (i) By planting more trees.
(ii) By making mass awareness about the importance of forests and wildlife towards ecological balance.
(iii) By preventing the wastage of forest produce.
(b) (i) Make judicious use of water.
(ii) Persuade neighbours to install a rain-water harvesting system.
(iii) Get leaking taps repaired immediately.
(iv) Be conscious about municipal taps, i.e. close them if they are unnecessarily running.
(c) (i) Try to use public transport for travelling, as this would reduce fuel consumption.
(ii) Use solar cooker and solar heater.
(iii) Make people aware of the importance of these resources.
