A racing car has a uniform acceleration of 4 m s-2. What distance will it cover in 10 s after start?

Here, a = 4 m s-2, t = 10 s, u = 0.

∴ s = ut + \(\frac{1}{2}\) at2

= 0 x 10 + \(\frac{1}{2}\) x 4 x (10)2

= 0 + \(\frac{1}{2}\) x 4 x 100

∴ s = 200 m

The distance covered in 10 s by the car is 200 m.
