(a) They had to row in the middle of the roar of water which had enveloped them all over Obviously, it was difficult to row.
(b) The shore is called ‘fatal’ because it is going to claim the life of the Chieftain and his beloved, Lord Ullin’s daughter.
(c) Lord Ullin’s anger changed to wailing because the tempest was going to swallow his beautiful and charming daughter.
