Will geographical isolation be a major factor in the speciation of a self-pollinating plant species? Why or why not?

In a self-pollinating plant species, geographical segregation cannot be a major factor in speciation. This is because in self-pollinating plants, pollination is occurring in the same plant.

So a natural barrier cannot cause hindrance.
