Why are human beings who look so different from each other in terms of size, colour and looks said to belong to the same species?

Human beings who look so different from each other in terms of size, colour and looks said to belong to the same species because of the following reasons:
(a) They have same number of chromosomes.
(b) They have a common ancestor.
(c) They interbreed to produce fertile offsprings.
