Here, power of the electric heater, P = 1500 W Time for which it is used, t = 10 h Energy used by the electric heater, i.e.,
W = P x t = 1500 W x 10 h = 15000 kW h
= 15 kW h
Energy consumed = 15 kWh x \(\frac{3.6 \times 10^6 J}{1 kWh}\)
= \(5.4 \times10^7J\) (∵ 1kWh = 3.6 x 106 J)
