How are the wavelength and frequency of a sound wave related to its speed?

The speed is defined as the distance travelled by a wave per unit time.

Speed = \(\frac{distance}{time}\) = \(\frac{\lambda}{T}\)

λ is the wavelength, T is time period.

v = uλ ∴ v = 1/T

∴ Speed = wavelength x frequency
