Loudness
(i) It is not an entirely physical quantity.
(ii) It depends upon
(a) sensitivity of the ear and
(b) intensity of sound.
(iii) It has a subjective existence.
Intensity
(i) It is a physical quantity which can be accurately measured.
(ii) It does not depend upon the sensitivity of the ear.
(iii) It has an objective existence.
