Why does the poet call rain as earthly life?

The poet calls rain as earthly life because the fate of rain is like that of man on the earth. When the child is born, it grows up into the young man and then an old man, and finally dies in the end. Similarly, rain is born in the form of a cloud in the sky. When the cloud bursts, it dies.
