A charged drinking plastic straw is brought near another similar suspended straw that is
1. also similarly charged
2. uncharged.
Explain what would happen in each case and why?

1. The suspended straw is repelled from it because of similar charge.
2. The uncharged plastic straw is attracted towards it because the charged object applies a force on it.
