Let S M be the maximum possible molarity of CdS in aqueous solution.

[Cd2+] = [S2-] = S M

Solubility product Ksp = [Cd2+][S2-]6 × 10-16 = S × SS = 2.45 × 10-8 M

Hence, the maximum molarity of CuS in aqueous solution is 2.45 × 10-8 M.
