Find p(0), p(1) and p(2) for each of the following polynomials:
(i) p(x) = x3
(ii) P(x) = (x−1)(x+1)

(i) p(x) = x3
∴p(0) = (0)3 = 0
p(1) = (1)3 = 1
p(2) = (2)3 = 8
(ii) p(x) = (x–1)(x+1)
∴p(0) = (0–1)(0+1)
= (−1)(1) = –1
p(1) = (1–1)(1+1) = 0(2) = 0
p(2) = (2–1)(2+1) = 1(3) = 3
