Correct answer: (a) 2.2 W
Explanation:
Equivalent resistance of circuit = 0.55 + 0.6
= 1.15 Ω
Voltage/EMF of the circuit = 2.2 V
∴ Current (i) = \(\frac{2.2}{1.15}\)≈1.91 Amp.
Power loss in battery = i2R
= (1.91)2(0.6)
≈ 2.19 ≈ 2.2 W
