Answer (b) CO2 < O2 < H2
Explanation
Vrms = \(\sqrt{\frac{3RT}{M}}\)
Molecular mass of CO2 = 44 gm
Molecular mass of O2 = 32 gm
Molecular mass of H2 = 2 gm
Vrms ∝ \(\frac{1}{\sqrt{M}}\)
If T → Same for all gases
Hence,
(Vrms)CO2 < (Vrms)O2 < (Vrms)H2
