A mass of 50 kg is placed at the centre of a uniform spherical shell of mass 100 kg and radius 50 m. If the gravitational potential at a point, 25 m from the centre is V kg/m. The value of V is :

(1) -60 G

(2) +2 G

(3) -20 G

(4) -4 G

Explanation:

VA = \(\Big[-\frac{GM_1}{r}- \frac{GM_2}{R}\Big]\)

= \(\Big[-\frac{50}{25}G- \frac{100}{50}G\Big]\)
