A motorcyclist starts from rest and reaches a speed of 6 m/s after travelling with uniform acceleration for 3 s. What is his acceleration?

Initial velocity = 0 m/s

Final velocity = 6 m/s

Time = 3 sec

Acceleration = \(\frac{Final\;velocity-Initial\;velocity}{Time\;taken}\)

= \(\frac{(6 -0)}{3}\)

= \(\frac{6}{3}\) = 2 m/sec2
