(a) ZnCO3 is heated in the absence of oxygen?

(b) a mixture of Cu2O and Cu2S is heated?

(a) Zinc oxide(s) and CO2(g) are formed.

ZnCO3(s) + heat → ZnO(s) + CO2(g)

(b) Blister copper(s) and SO2(g) are formed.

2Cu2O(s) + Cu2S(s) + heat → 6Cu(s) + SO2(g)
