Fumigation:
- Fumigants are used in the form of solid, liquid, or gas.
- Fumigants are mixed up with the food grains.
- Example: EDCT (ethylene dichloride plus carbon tetrachloride).
Spraying:
- Pesticides are used in solution form.
- Pesticides are sprayed over the gunny bags containing food grains.
- Example: BHC (benzene hexachloride).
