Active Immunity:
1. It is produced due to interaction with pathogen or antigen.
2. A time gap occurs for development, so it is slow acting.
3. It is long lasting.
4. Antibodies are produced by the body in response to pathogen or antigen.
Passive Immunity:
1. It is produced due to preformed antibodies.
2. It develops immediately so it provides quick immune response.
3. It lasts for some time.
4. Antibodies are obtained from outside.
