List any three differences between pollination and fertilisation.

Pollination:

(i) It is thee transfer of pollen grains from anther to the stigma of a flower.

(ii) Pollination precedes fertilisation.

(iii) Pollination carries, the male gamete producing pollen grains to the female sex organ.

Fertilisation:

(i) It is the fusion of male and female gametes.

(ii) Fertilisation occurs only after pollination when the pollen grains has germinated and sent the male gametes to ovule.

(iii) Fertilisation brings about fusion of gametes.
