Mass of the boat mb = 300 kg

Velocity of boat vb

Mass of girl mg = 50 kg

Velocity of girl vg = 3 m/s

Acc. to the law of conservation of momentum

mbvb = mgvg

300 x vb = 50 x 3

vb = \(\frac{50 \times 3}{300}\)

= 0.5 m/s
