Discuss the effects of deforestation on the following :
(i) Wild animals.
(ii) Environment.
(iii) Villages (Rural areas).

(i) The natural habitat of wild animals is destroyed by deforestation.
(ii) Deforestation decreases the level of oxygen in the atmosphere and ground water level.
(iii) In the rural areas deforestation leads to loss in soil fertility and increased chances of natural calamities such as floods and drought.
