When a strip of zinc metal is placed in copper sulphate solution, then zinc sulphate solution and copper are obtained.
(a) CuSO4(aq) + Zn → ZnSO4 + Cu
Copper sulphate Zinc Zinc sulphate Copper
(b) Displacement reaction.
