Calculate the number of molecules of sulfur (S8) present in 16 g of solid sulphur?

Mass of 1 mole of S8 = 8 × 32 = 256

∵ 256 g of S8 contains = 6.022 x 1023 molecules

∴ 16 g of S8 contains = 6.022 x 1023/256 x 16 = 3.76 x 1022 molecules
