Let the masses of A and B = m

Height of A = h

Height of B = 2h

Potential energy for body A, PEA = mgh

Potential energy for body B, PEB = mg2h

Ratio = PEA : PEB = (mgh)/(mg2h) = \(\frac{1}{2}\)
