Initial kinetic energy of the object,
\(K.E_i=\frac{1}{2}mv^2\)
When the object comes to rest,
final kinetic energy of the object, \(K.E_f\)
Change in kinetic energy = \(\frac{1}{2}mv^2 - 0\) = \(\frac{1}{2}mv^2\)
Work done on the project = change in its kinetic energy = \(\frac{1}{2}mv^2\)
