ΔHfusion of a substance is 'x' and ΔHvap is 'y', then ΔHsublimation will be

(a) x + y

(b) x - y

(c) x/y

(d) y/x.

Explanation:

So using Hess law, we get

ΔHsublimation = ΔHfusion + ΔHvap = x + y
