Correct answer: (c) 10 dm3, -800 J
Explanation:
P1V1 = P2V2
∴ V = \(\frac{5\;bar \times 2dm^3}{1\;bar}\)
= 10 dm3
Work, W = -Pext(Vfinal - Vinitial)
= -1 bar (10 - 2)
= -1 x 105Pa x 8 x 10-3 m3
= -800 J
