Correct answer: (d) 2400 K
Explanation:
Vrms = \(\sqrt{\frac{3RT}{M}}\)
Vrms(O2) = Vrms(He)
\(\sqrt{\frac{3RT_{O_2}}{M_{O_2}}}\) = \(\sqrt{\frac{3RT_{He}}{M_{He}}}\)
or \(\frac{T_{O_2}}{M_{O_2}}\) = \(\frac{T_{He}}{M_{He}}\)
∴ TO2 = \(\frac{300 \times 32}{4}\)
= 2400K
