Correct answer: (a) 60

Explanation:

N2 + O2 → 2NaOH

a      a        2a

CO + \(\frac{1}{2}\)O2 → CO2

(10 - a)  \(\frac{(10 - a)}{2}\)  (10 - a)

a + \(\frac{(10 - a)}{2}\) = 7

∴ a = 4

volume of CO = 6 mL

Mole % of CO = \(\frac{6 \times 100}{10}\) = 60
