Let *, p ∈ {∧, ∨} be such that the Boolean expression (p ∧ ~q) ⇒ (p ∧ q) is a tautology. Then

(1) * = ∨, p = v

(2) * = ∧, p = ∧

(3) * = ∧, p = v

(4) * = ∨, p = ∧

Correct answer: (3) * = ∧, p = v

Explanation:

(p ∧ ~q) → (p ∨ q) is tautology.
