If sum of distances of point P from (0, 0) (0, 1) (1, 0), (1, 1) = 18 Locus is at circle of diameter. find d^2.

If sum of distances of point P from (0, 0) (0, 1) (1, 0), (1, 1) = 18 Locus is at circle of diameter. find d2.

x2 + y2 + x2(y -1)2 + y2 + (x -1)2 + (y -1)2 = 18

x2 + y2 + x2 + y2 - 2y + 1 + x2 - 2x + 1 + y2 + x2 - 2x + 1 + y2 - 2y + 1 = 18

4x2 + 4y2 - 4x - 4y + 4 = 18

x2 + 4y2 - 4x - 4y - 14 = 0

x2 + y2 - x - y - \(\frac{7}{2}\) = 0

r = \(\sqrt{(\frac{1}{2})^2 - (\frac{1}{2})^2 + \frac{7}{2}}\)

= 2

d = 4

d2 = 16
