Magnification formula for a lens is:

m = \(\frac{v(distance\;of\;image)}{u(distance\;of\;object)}\)

Magnification formula for a mirror has a minus sign(-) but the magnification formula for a lens has no minus sign.

Magnification formula for a mirror is:

m = -\(\frac{v(distance\;of\;image)}{u(distance\;of\;object)}\)
