Given: u = -10 cm, m = -3 and v = ?

Applying the formula m = - \(\frac{v}{u}\)

we get,

-3 = \(\frac{-v}{-10}\)

⇒ -v = -3 x -10 = +30

⇒ v = -30 cm

Hence, the image is located at a distance of 30 cm in front of the mirror.
