Correct answer: (a) H2O2

Explanation:

K2Cr2O7 an orange coloured solution, on acidification with dil H2SO4 is oxidised by H2O2 to blue peroxide of chromium, CrO5, which is unstable.

K2Cr2O7 + H2SO4 → K2SO4 + H2Cr2O7

[H2O2 → H2O + [O]] x 4

H2Cr2O7 + 4[O] → 2CrO5 + H2O

K2Cr2O7 + H2SO4 + 4H2O2 → 2CrO5 + K2SO4 + 5H2O
