(a) Lubb - Sharp closure of AV valves at the beginning of ventricular systole.
Explanation:
Lubb sound is caused partly by the closure of the bicuspid and tricuspid valves and partly by the contraction of the muscles in the ventricles. Lubb is the first heart sound.
