Correct option: (d)

Explanation:

Sugarcane and sugarbeet are the richest sources of sucrose, a disaccharide. It is most commonly found in plants, where it is transported in large quantity by phloem tissue. In humans, enzyme invertase (sucrase) present in duodenum of the small intestine hydrolyses sucrose into one molecule of glucose and one molecule of fructose. Pepsin is proteolytic enzyme that hydrolyses many proteins into smaller molecules of peptones. Saliva of humans contains salivary amylase (ptyalin) that hydrolyses starch into maltose, isomaltose and small dextrins. Lipases hydrolyse triglyceride fat into diglycerides, and then into monoglycerides alongwith fatty acids at each step.
