(c) Keeping the potential difference constant, the resistance of a circuit is doubled. By how much does the current change?

(a) 1 ohm is the resistance of a conductor such that when a potential difference of 1 volt is applied to its ends, a current of 1ampere flows through it.

(b) Its resistance will increase.

(c) V = IR

I = V/R

Keeping V constant, I ∝ 1/R

So, when R is doubled, I becomes half.
