An electric motor takes 5 amperes current from a 220 volt supply line. Calculate the power of the motor and electrical energy consumed by it in 2.

I = 5 amp, V = 220 volt, t = 2h
P = ?
E = ?
P = V x I
= 220 x 5
= 1100 watt
= 1.1 kW
Energy consumed, E = P x t
= 1.1 x 2
= 2.2 kWh
