I = 5 A

V = 220 V

R = \(\frac{V}{I}\) = \(\frac{220}{5}\)

= 44Ω

Required resistance is less than 176Ω, so the resistors should be connected in parallel.

Let the required no. be n.

\(R_{eq} = \frac{176}{n}\) = 44

n = \(\frac{176}{44}\)

= 4
