A bulb is rated as 250 V; 0.4 A. Find its : (i) power, and (ii) resistance.

V = 250 V, I = 0.4 amp
(i) We know that
Power = VI = 250 x 0.4 = 100 watt
(ii) We have
P = I2R
100 = 0.42 x R
R = 625 ohm
