Explanation:
Stratosphere extends from 20-25 km above tropospheres. It is also called ozonosphere due to presence of ozone. Temperature increases in this zone (upto 90°C) due to ozone formation. Ozone protects Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiations of the sun.
Oxides of Nitrogen + Unburnt Hydrocarbons + UV-rays → O3(Ozone) + PAN (Peroxy acetyl nitrate)
