Hermaphrodites are those organisms in which the sexes are not separate i.e. both male and female reproductive organs occur in the same individual.
Examples: Animals of phylum Platyhelminthes, such as liver fluke and blood fluke, are hermaphrodites. Certain forms of phylum Annelida, such as earthworm and Eutypheus, are also hermaphrodites.
