Two elements A and B have similar chemical properties. They don't form solid hydrogen carbonates but react with nitrogen to form nitrides.

Two elements A and B have similar chemical properties. They don't form solid hydrogen carbonates but react with nitrogen to form nitrides. A and B, respectively, are :

(1) Li and Mg

(2) Na and Ca

(3) Na and Rb

(4) Cs and Ba

Explanation:

Li and Mg do not form solid bicarbonate. But react with N2 to give nitrides.

6Li + ΔN2 → 2Li3N

3Mg + N2 + Δ → Mg3N2
