(a) on light chain as well as on heavy chain.
Explanation:
The Y-shaped antibody molecule is composed of 4 polypeptide chains - two identical light chains and two heavy chains held together by disulphide bonds. Antigen-binding site is formed on antibody molecule where a heavy chain variable and a light chain variable come closer.
